Hyatt Plaza, in association with Qatar Guest Centre and Eid Charity, will be hosting a “Fast-a-Thon” on the first day of Ramadan, to help non-Muslims experience the Islamic tradition of fasting.The one-day “Fast-A-Thon” is also aimed at raising money for the flood victims in Pakistan, “so it has got a noble cause to achieve”, a spokesperson for the organisers said.

Expatriate groups host Iftar parties
Several expatriate organisations are hosting Iftar gatherings attended by hundreds of faithful in different parts of Doha. The Qatar Bangabandu Parishad central committee observed the 35th National Mourning Day in memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at a prayer gathering.The event concluded with an Iftar party.
